SparXcharge EVC Time Calculator
About Electric Vehicle Charging Time Calculator
We have simplified and created an easy-to-use intuitive calculator to estimate the time it will take to charge your EV by defining your charging details. Calculating the actual time needed to charge your electric vehicle depends on many factors such as the EV’s battery size, the speed of the onboard charger, and the amount of power being supplied to the EV by the mobile charging station to name a few.
Charging Power (kW) – The rate of charging power is limited by the mobile charging station’s supply of electricity or the electric vehicle’s onboard charger. Check the maximum charging power of both the vehicle and the charging station, and select the smaller value to calculate the charging time
Battery size (kWh) – Select the correct battery size in kWh of the electric vehicle which should be considered in the calculation. The electric vehicle’s battery size determines the EV’s range.
Charging Levels (%) – To ensure battery longevity the calculator is set to charge from 20-80 % by default, but this can be customized as per EV user’s requirement. Select the current and target charge levels from 0 (empty battery) to 100 (full charge). Please ensure, that the target charge level is higher than the current charge level.
Current Charge Level (%)- This percentage corresponds to the level of the battery at the beginning of charging session. If you want to calculate the charging time of a completely empty battery, select 0%.
Target charge level (%) – –It is basically up to which percentage you want the battery to be charged. If you want to calculate the charging time of a completely full battery, select 100%.
